ChemPartners starts operations on another polymers market - polystyrenes.Polystyrenes are thermoplastic aromatic polymers made by monomer styrene polymerization. It has low density (1060 kg/m2), good thermal durability (up to 105 °С), with shrinkage at molding processing around 0,4–0,8%. Polystyrene has excellent dielectric properties with good frost resistance (down -40 °C) but low chemical resistance.
Polystyrene is one of the most widely used plastics, the scale of its production being several million tons per year. It is a colorless solid that is used, for example, in disposable cutlery, plastic models, CD and DVD cases, and smoke detector housings.
The vast filed of application is conditioned by low cost, processing simplicity and very wide range of different grades, mainly consisting of high impact polystyrenes.
Our range has been supplemented by general purpose polystyrene (GPPS), high impact polystyrene (HIPS), expandable polystyrene (EPS), styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer (SBS). In Russia we mostly market polystyrenes is from South and South-East Asia.
Our new item in the product range is Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). SLES 70% is anionic surfactant, widely used in many personal care products (shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps, toothpaste) and detergents, as it is inexpensive and very effective foaming agent.
Product is stable in hard water, has good foaming ability. It can be used in a number of industries: building, textile, oilfield, plastics and other industries.
The product is available for shipment in plastic drums from our warehouses in Moscow.
